Sam and I met on a warm night in September of 2019. A fellow photographer reached out to me after I posted a meme about being single and told me that her brother-in-law was single. She sent me photos, told me he had a cat and loved tea. I found myself meeting this stranger just a few days later. From then on we spent almost every day together! On October 4th, 2020 we tied the knot on a gorgeous sunny day and celebrated with cake, Arkansan chocolate pie, and hot tea. We had the best wedding vendors! Shoutout to Steph Smith Photography for our engagement and wedding photos, and Samantha’s Garden for the magical flowers!
We moved to JAX in 2022 from Arkansas with our two cats, and dog who love the warm weather in FL. Our favorite nights include board games (currently loving Terraforming Mars) and takeout from local restaurants. To my nieces and nephews we are "Auntie Ashte" and Uncle Sam". And gosh, we love those kiddos!

More about my husband and I!

Hi! My full name is Ashton Nicole Rail Herrington. When I started this business I was just Ashton Nicole Rail! In October of 2020 I became "Mrs Herrington" but decided to keep my business name as is. Why? A few reasons! One of them being that the Rail side is where I got my love for photography. My grandad is the one who ignited my love for film (which is where I started)!
In college you could have found me in one of two places: my dorm room drinking hot tea, working and watching Sabrina The Teenage Witch, or in the darkroom listening to Dave Matthews Band while I developed photos. The darkroom was my safe space. It's where I learned how to tap into my creativity and how to pursue my passions. When I graduated college, with a BS in Photography, I knew I wanted to start my own business. And I am so glad I did! Weddings, couple sessions and portrait sessions...I love them all. I get to make new friendships, photograph people on the happiest day of their life, and bring out people's true personalities in photos. The biggest compliments I receive are those that say how they were able to fully be themselves around me or how I was able to bring out their real smile. I really do find it a joy to take photos.
